About The Author

Jannifer Wood lives in Utah with her husband and two sons. She works as a freelance writer and has completed a YA contemporary fantasy novel. She is currently working on its sequel. When she is not writing or reading, she enjoys hiking and the outdoors, making memories with her kids, watching British television, and daydreaming about new characters in her head.

At the age of 10, I decided that I was meant to be a writer. Like any budding author, I needed space for a writing nook where I could let my creativity expand and my writing flow. I soon found the perfect spot, the closet in the bedroom I shared with my younger sister. She wasn’t so keen on this new life goal of mine as well as the loss of the use of our shared closet, but for me, it was a good start.

Writing has always been a part of my life: From the countless journals I have filled over the years, to creative writing courses in high school, and my Communications degree from Brigham Young University. I have been a theater reviewer of live performances. I have written posts about all things tall for a clothing company for tall men. I have completed a full YA contemporary fantasy novel and I’m working on its sequel. Writing is my way of figuring out the world and creating worlds I want to escape to. Writing has been one of my longest and most enduring loves. (Unlike all those crushes from my teen years that filled those journal pages of mine.)
